Responsibletravel.com has just selected New Zealand as the winner and best overall destination for their 2008 Responsible Tourism Awards. Which makes us pretty excited to be heading there in February for our new South Pacific Singletrack mountain bike trip.
Have you been to New Zealand? Know anyone who's been? Want to go?
We'd love to hear your stories (we've never been ourselves) and any wisdom you can share with us beforehand. Please leave your comments by clicking on the comment button below.

I've heard amazing things about Rotorua, Steve. Perhaps the next time we go we'll have to make it a dual-island trip. How far's Rotorua from Christchurch?
Mike
Steve is right. Rotorua has the best Mountain Bike Park in the Southern Hemisphere - no question.
(Personally) I figure its one of the worlds best XC parks.
Christchurch is a 2 hour flights or approx 9 hours drive (not including the ferry crossing)
